What does the regulation say?
The regulations, established by the decree of July 12, 2010, and UNECE/UN Regulation R110, require a CID inspection of the gas system every four years, as well as in the event of:
- An accident,
- Tank replacement,
- Significant modification to the system,
- Exposure of the vehicle to overpressure or fire.
It is also recommended when selling or purchasing a gas-powered vehicle.
What if the regulations are not respected?
The absence or non-compliance of the Detailed Inspection Report (CID) during the technical inspection constitutes a major deficiency.
The consequence: the vehicle will be rejected and a re-inspection will be required.
What types of controls does the CID include?
The CID inspection includes a detailed inspection of:
- Gas tanks, their supports, and mounting systems,
- High-pressure circuits in accordance with legal procedures,
- Circuit leak tightness,
- Functional tests of all components,
- And a verification of safety devices.
